Travel . . . See the U.S.A.

                                        Off the Beaten Path, Kansas

I recently read, If you want to be an interesting person, read books. I would add, Live life. Life is short so think about how you really want to spend your time and spend it to the fullest. Rather than take time to reminisce about the “should ofs, would ofs,” take action on what you can do. No matter how small you may think it is, it will make a difference and make this world a better place.

I love maps. We hung several maps on one wall where we take our meals. One of my dreams is to see every state in the U.S.A. I have six left: AK, ND, SD, NV, WA, OR. I love driving through the states and meeting local people (eating in places off the beaten path if I can), noticing the landscape, visiting the national parks and monuments, or little known spots of history or beauty. We are so fortunate in this great country of ours in that there are so many friendly people out there and each area of the country reveals its own beauty. With summer upon us, I suggest to get out and see the U.S.A.
